Even
though its rich trade with the west easily makes Majhor the
cultural and economic seat of Melfand, the actual political
seat of the Province is Alfonse. A weathered city that has
found itself raized several times throughout the Provincial
Wars due to its proximity to the Melfand-Gestalt border, its
streets and architecture convey a rich history, a smorgasbord
of mish-mashed buildings crafted in different times.
In the past few years, Melfand saw the loss of not only its
leader, Lord Trairen, but also his wife. With no other elder
heirs (not even a distant cousin) to succeed the throne, Trairen's
young son, Liam, was designated the new ruler of the Province.
Despite initial skepticism, Liam has proven a capable, if
not great leader. He is assisted in his duties by his personal
servant, a woman who also served under his father.
