When we redid this page for WirePop,
we changed very little. I added Rico's "I'll kill you!"
shout because the page seemed too quiet otherwise. Without
musical scores and sound effects, the page didn't have the
impact it needed.
Besides the obviously improved art and palette, the perspective
is much better. I helped Niko with the old version,
but by the time the new one had to be done, his knowledge
on it was superior to mine. (That doesn't mean I don't still
correct him now and again >:D)
NIKO GEYER
One of the most important changes to the revised edition art-wise
is the muted palette to me. The old version looked all bright
and colorful; I believe the new one looks a lot more moody.
I also like how this is basically the exact same scene, just
on a technically advanced level. Subtle changes like the position
of Rico's arm made the page a lot more dynamic. |
